The World’s First Mixed Reality Experience in an Epic 8M Dome

Brighton Spiegeltent is an annual pop-up festival, nestled within the picturesque Old Steine Gardens, against the iconic backdrop of Brighton’s renowned pier. In 2024, the festival featured a captivating new attraction; an 8M dome hosting The Butterfly Trail, a magical digital art exhibition.
The show immersed visitors in the intrepid explorer Professor Peter Pelegrin’s Glass House and his impressive collection of butterflies. Using smartphones, visitors could interact with the virtual butterflies, watching them flutter to rest on their hands.
This unique mixed-reality immersive experience proved to be a big hit with families with kids and an exciting new addition to the Speigeltent festival.
