In January 2015, Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) purchased a 10-meter, portable negative-pressure dome for use at the Muscat Festival. After its initial success at the festival the dome toured the country to promote astronomy and science education. In October 2016 the PDO donated the dome to the Oman Astronomical Society (OAS). The OAS will continue to tour the dome around Oman, to bring immersive education to school children and adults alike and further awareness and knowledge of astronomy. As part of this effort Fulldome.pro updated the system with our latest educational and entertainment content.
