Perched on a hillside, overlooking the Dnieper River in Kiev, Ukraine, sits the Pysanka Dome, a fulldome theater disguised as a decorated Easter egg. Ukrainians, and other eastern European cultures, have a long tradition of decorating eggs using wax and ink (batik) to create intricate patterns. There is much symbolism and many recurring motifs in pysanka art. Our Pysanka Dome in Kiev features geometric patterns including the ruzha (eight-pointed star), the wave-like meander pattern and rake motifs, and colors representing, the life-giving blood, joy and love, the harvest, purity and the Earth. Inside the dome there are a range of shows, for all audiences, running every hour. Each session includes a special film “Easter Egg Universe” about the creation of the universe and the cosmic symbols from many cultures that may appear in pysanky art.
Like all portable domes from Fulldome.pro the Pysanka Dome is quick to set up and easy to operate. Our team can create an outer shell using your own design and motifs or can create a design just for your event.
