What’s the purpose of the dome?
The immersive planetarium dome is intended to enhance the educational experience for astronomy students within its growing Astronomy Faculty. As Michael Scott, Dean of the Richard A. Henson School of Science & Technology explains ‘Here on the East Coast of the United States, we can hold classes during the day and students can still learn about all those processes of the universe.
Where was it installed?
The dome was installed on a pre-prepared concrete platform on campus in under a week. Its prominent location behind one of the university’s historic buildings ensures it will be featured in tours for prospective students and their families.
What about branding?
As with many of our clients, the university opted to personalise the weatherproof outer cover of the dome by printing the faculty’s name and logo on it. This customisation not only highlights the dome but also ensures it blends seamlessly with the campus surroundings.
